The Manager II Collections is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and service delivery of complex and advanced collections on delinquent accounts. The Manager II optimizes the performance of the Collections department and contributing to the organization’s overall success. The Manager II drives the adoption of technology solutions to improve both the member and employee experience, while enhancing organizational efficiency and ensuring effective collection practices. The Manager II evaluates performance in terms of exceptional member and internal service delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Manager II leads and develops a team, collaborates to achieve departmental goals while maintaining the highest standards of member service and compliance, and identifies opportunities for process improvements across the organization. The Manager II focuses on preventing foreclosure, adhering to investor requirements, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, all while minimizing organizational losses.
What you will do here:
Build and manage a high performing team of senior collectors that manage advanced and complex collections delinquent accounts (mortgage, auto, lines of credit, shares) through effective onboarding, performance coaching, and development of team members with adherence to department and organization standards.
Ensure direct reports are consistently meeting or exceeding individual KPI's, providing exceptional member service and reducing or eliminating procedure errors.
Address member complaints and provide support in resolving disputes to uphold the organization's commitment to excellent member service.
Regularly evaluate and suggest opportunities to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and accuracy to department procedures and best practices to minimize delinquencies, mitigate losses, and assess effectiveness of existing policies and procedures. Manage department expenses to ensure compliance with assigned budgets.
Monitor REO (Real Estate Owned) properties.
Prepare monthly month board reports abiding by internal and stakeholder deadlines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
High School Diploma or GED required.
6+ years of Collections experience required.
4+ years of leadership experience required.
Operational Leadership – Driving department-wide initiatives to improve collections success rates. required.
High-Level Risk Mitigation – Developing strategies to reduce collections risks required.
Compliance & Regulatory Strategy – Ensuring full adherence to all industry regulations required.
Cross-Functional Leadership – Collaborating with executives and other department leaders required.
Manages Complexity, Drives Results, Instills Trust, Ensures Accountability, Communicates Effectively required.
Critical Thinking and Negotiating required.
Microsoft Office Suite required.
