Material Handling Floater Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and professional Material Handler Floater to support our warehouse and logistics operations. This role requires flexibility to float between different areas as needed, ensuring materials are handled, stored, and shipped according to company standards and buyer’s needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, proven forklift experience, and a solid background using Epicor ERP systems.

Material Handling Floater Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (minimum 2 years’ experience required).
• Utilize Epicor ERP software for inventory tracking, order processing, and shipping coordination (minimum 1 year experience required).
• Maintain clear and courteous communication via phone and email with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate professionally with Buyers and internal departments to understand shipping requirements.
• Coordinate and ensure accurate and timely shipments per customer and buyer specifications.
• Float between various material handling roles and departments as operational needs demand.
• Assist in loading/unloading shipments, cycle counts, and inventory control.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Materials Handling Floater Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience operating forklifts (valid certification preferred).
• 1+ year experience using Epicor ERP in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service orientation; able to professionally interact with buyers and team members.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Positive, professional attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
