We are headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA.  We have an immediate opening for a Cyber Information Technology Analyst to support PEO USC Cybersecurity requirements in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Chief Technology Officer to achieve Authorization to Operate (ATO) for PMS 420 technology asset.

Security Clearance:

  • This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance.

 Responsibilities

The candidate’s responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities or supporting the following actions: 

  • Provide administrative, planning, and technical support for the creation and annual updates to cybersecurity program documents as part of ongoing Zero Trust initiatives.
  • Support the creation and annual updates of the Information Systems Contingency Plan (ISCP), Incident Response Plan (IRP), Patch Management Plan, and End-of-Life Plan.
  • Support ATO and ATU/C stipulation data calls
  • Facilitate and provide documentation for annual Department of Defense Information Technology Portfolio Repository-Department of the Navy (DITPR-DON) reviews to ensure continued system conformity.
  • Support Security Controls Implementation
  • Update Hardware/ Software List
  • Support annual IRP/ISCP Testing
  • Support system Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) registration.
  • Support the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of new technology solutions within the PMS 420 portfolio to ensure alignment with program goals and Zero Trust implementation.
  • Provide support for secure technology configuration in accordance with Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), ensuring systems maintain required security standards.
  • Perform requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle to ensure each requirement has a source and is justified as complete.
  • Ensure the traceability of requirements through all levels of design, development, integration, testing, and production; and assess the System Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (SRVTM) for a specific task.

 Experience Requirements:

  • At least one to two years of recent, relevant professional experience in cybersecurity duties, including the following. Experience gained in a US Navy/DoD environment is preferred.
  • Experience performing US Navy Risk Management Framework Activities
  • An ideal candidate will possess knowledge of/experience of:
    • One or more of the following: JCL, SQL, Git, Windows, Linux, UNIX, Java, CMPRO, Confluence, JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Gitlab, DOORS. 
    • Project methodologies and tools
  • Proficiency with common productivity software, including Microsoft Office.

Educational & Certification Requirements:

A qualified candidate must meet at a minimum one of the following education requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering from an ABET accredited or NCAE designated institution, BS is highly preferred, OR
    • Cyber/IT fall under the are part of the Cybersecurity workforce and designated as Work Role Systems Requirements Planner (451). Details and additional requirements can be seen on the Navy Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL) website: Navy COOL - System Administrator (SYSADMIN) Qualification Matrix. To meet this requirement a candidate will complete one of the following certifications or Operating System/Computing Environment (OS/CE) certificates of training, as dictated by Command CWF-PM.
      • Certified Network Defender (CND)
      • CompTIA Security+
      • CompTIA Network+

Travel Requirements: 

  • This position is anticipated to require up to 10% travel
