About the Role
The Director of Digital Marketing is a strategic yet scrappy executor who can scale campaigns, pitch new ideas, and lead a high-performing team. This role isn’t for spectators. We are looking for someone with the drive of an elite athlete, the creativity of an entrepreneur, and the precision of a data analyst. They oversee multi-channel marketing efforts, optimize every step of the funnel, and help shape the future of our brand. They are a builder—of campaigns, systems, teams, and momentum. Paid media, paid social, SEO, and email/newsletter marketing are the backbone of this role—owning, executing, and optimizing them is essential. You are a strategic digital marketer who also thrives on rolling up your sleeves to get things done. With a solid track record in the travel industry—particularly in cruise—you combine creativity, data-driven decision-making, and a competitive spirit to drive real business outcomes. You’ve led successful performance marketing campaigns, built strong cross-functional relationships, and aren’t afraid to pitch bold ideas or challenge the status quo.

You’re energized by fast-paced environments, comfortable with high accountability, and driven to win—whether through innovative campaigns, smart optimizations, or developing top-tier marketing talent. You balance strategy and execution with confidence, leveraging your technical skills and AI fluency to stay ahead of the curve. Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the digital marketing strategy aligned to business goals
  • Oversee core performance channels including paid media, SEO, paid social, affiliate, email/newsletters, and emerging channels
  • Lead and grow a small, focused team of in-house marketers and agencies
  • Design a data-driven, customer-first marketing engine to maximize ROI
  • Build and optimize campaigns in Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and others
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to enhance user experience and conversion
  • Innovate relentlessly: test, iterate, and launch creative campaigns and tools
  • Drive strategic partnerships with travel brands, influencers, and affiliates
  • Leverage reporting and analytics to measure performance across all channels, delivering actionable insights and clear forecasts
  • Negotiate media buys, contracts, and vendor terms with confidence
  • Confidently manage and collaborate with external marketing agencies to extend capacity and accelerate results
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on ownership, learning, and results

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience leading digital marketing in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Deep expertise in paid search, paid social, SEO, email marketing, newsletters, and performance marketing
  • Strong background in the travel industry, with a preference for cruise sector experience
  • Proven ability to pitch ideas, present marketing strategies, and close opportunities
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as GA4, HubSpot, paid media platforms, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) tools
  • Skilled in using AI to streamline workflows and adapt quickly to emerging marketing technology
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and creative tools such as Photoshop and Canva
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership, collaboration, and cross-functional alignment
  • Comfortable in hybrid or remote roles with travel; based in Florida (Eastern Time Zone)
