Title: Cloud Engineer
Location: Remote (US West Coast or Arizona)
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in an On-Call rotation, adhering to Transact’s incident management procedures.
- Create and tune alerting in Nagios, Uptime.com, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Splunk as needed to effectively monitor application health.
- Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure in Azure using web UI, CLI, and/or Terraform.
- Deploy and troubleshoot software updates using current and appropriate methodologies.
- Apply monthly security patches using Azure Update Manager.
- Provide clear and timely communication to internal stakeholders via Jira and keep Confluence documentation up to date with new or updated processes.
- Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot application performance and availability issues.
- Perform necessary application and system configuration tasks associated with client onboarding and offboarding.
Must Have Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a Cloud Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Application Support. Engineer, or similar role.
- Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 administration.
- Scripting experience with bash scripting.
- Familiarity with change management procedures.
- Familiarity with a container orchestrator.
- Experience with a ticketing system and creation of written documentation.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiar with Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Linux administration.
- Knowledge of java or tomcat based web applications.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, python, Lambda functions, or json.
- Ability to write SQL queries.
- Any experience working with Transact Campus Payments applications.
- Participation in an on-call rotation.
- Familiarity with SOC2 and/or PCI compliance requirements.
- Experience with incident response and disaster recovery.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
