We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Back Office Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced medical practice. This role is a vital part of our clinical team, providing direct support to healthcare providers and ensuring a high standard of patient care. The ideal candidate will be a multitasking professional with excellent clinical and administrative skills, committed to maintaining a smooth and efficient patient flow.
Job Duties Include
Take and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, and document patient history and chief complaints in the electronic health record (EHR).
Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during in-office procedures.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, such as blood and urine samples.
Administer injections and medications
Perform basic diagnostic tests, such as EKGs, ear lavage, monofilament, DRE
Clean and sterilize medical instruments and sanitize exam rooms between patient visits.
Manage patient records by accurately updating information in the EHR and prepping for next day appointments.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centric approach.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to accurately maintain patient information.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
A team player who can collaborate effectively with providers and other staff.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Requires an active, current and valid Medical Assistant certification.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) may be required.
Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
Compensation: $18.03/hr. - $22.54/hr. & bonus eligible
