Inside the Role
The On-Highway Segment Strategy team is responsible for driving Voice-of-Customer feedback for our Heavy Duty On-Highway Segments, to the marketing, Platform Product Strategy, and engineering organizations. We work closely with DTNA internal sales organization to leverage customer and dealer feedback to understand market needs and get project specific feedback early in the roadmap process.In this position you will be responsible for supporting and understanding the Cascadia customer needs, business priorities and segment opportunities. Through your market, product, and segment knowledge you will play a key role in driving innovation in our product portfolio to ensure continued DTNA dominance in the On-Highway Segment.

Position offers a starting salary range of $104,000.00- $133,000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
- In collaboration with the Platform Product Strategy teams, develop short and long-term strategic product plans and promote related product improvement activities to internal stakeholders.
- Analyze disparate data sources (both qualitative and quantitative) to strategically create and support business cases that cast the vision and strategy for the future On-Highway portfolio
- Support Platform Strategy through the Design Request Form (DRF) process by providing necessary guidance and customer insights.
- Support Platform Strategy in the development of major product projects – Product Action Requests (PARs) – defining the market potential, business case, and investment requirements.
- Initiate new On-Highway product option requests – NOWs – based on customer need and segment growth potential; provide feedback for prioritization of the request and ensure cross-functional alignment
- Collaborate with Platform Product Strategy, Compliance, and DTNA sales organizations to ensure DTNA’s products comply with current and future federal and local regulations.
- Provide valuable input for product and segment roadmapping process to ensure that the organization is aligned on customer needs.
- Conduct market research and data analysis to understand market trends and segment insights that allow us to drive business strategy for emerging technologies.
- Gain expertise on competitor products and industry trends in emerging technologies to develop SWOT analyses.
- Support DTNA sales organization as needed in customer meetings, presenting relevant product updates.
- Work collaboratively with the Vocational Segment Strategy team to align on product positioning and segment strategies across the entire Freightliner and Western Star brands.
- Identify customers and specs/serial numbers to fulfill pre-series requirements on projects. Collect follow-up customer feedback following pre-series truck delivery.
- Provide support and develop technical product content as needed, including white papers, in-depth specification guidance, training content, as needed.
- Support Product and Brand Marketing teams in go-to-market activities for product and option launches, including support in identifying key features, advantages and benefits of the new products, appropriate launch timing alignment, and required efforts to assure a successful launch.
- Support planning and execution of the On-Highway Customer Council (OHCC).
- Support relevant trade shows, industry events, dealer training events, and customer ride-and-drives as needed.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience OR 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Strong project management skills
- Efficient in M365 suite – especially building PowerPoint presentations and working with datasets in Excel
- Strong presentation skills and high comfort level with public speaking
- Be flexible, with willingness to pivot depending on market or DTNA needs
- Comfortable navigating through unchartered territories for the industry
- Travel approximately 15-25% of the time

Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Previous experience working with emerging technology topics
- Expertise in the On-Highway Heavy Duty Truck market, including experience with customers, dealers, and spec’ing
- Efficient utilizing Tableau
- Strong technical aptitude
