Senior Android Engineer
DriveScore is searching for an experienced Android Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive significant improvements and advancements in DriveScore’s use of Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM), delivering seamless features across both iOS and Android platforms from a single codebase.

What you will be doing:
As a Senior Android Engineer, you will have strong Kotlin knowledge, guiding DriveScore’s native engineering strategy, collaborating across squads, and mentoring other engineers. Your leadership will ensure that DriveScore remains at the forefront of innovation while driving cross-platform excellence.
You'll work with:
- Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) to unify codebases for iOS and Android
- Native development tools like Xcode, Android Studio, Swift, and Kotlin
- CI/CD processes and tools like Bitrise and GitHub Actions
- RESTful APIs and efficient integration practices for backend systems
- Quality assistance programmes enabling you to build, test, release, and monitor your work
- Agile methodologies with collaboration across cross-functional squads
Skills we'd love you to have
- Operate with autonomy within your squad, contributing to design and execution of complex technical solutions that drive meaningful product outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and product managers to align on priorities, manage trade-offs, and deliver high-quality work.
- Demonstrate depth in system architecture and data flows, applying sound judgment to solve technical challenges with scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Contribute to cross-functional alignment by building strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring shared understanding of technical direction and delivery risks.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, adapting your message to both technical and non-technical audiences to support decision-making and delivery.
