Status: Full-time, Year-round, Temporary (2 year Fellowship)
Classification: Non-exempt, Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY
The 2026 Camp Fellow - Outreach Focus will further the mission of Roundup River Ranch through the coordination of processes, resources and volunteers that support camp outreach projects including online camp programs and hospital and community based programs.
The Outreach fellow portion of the Camp Fellowship makes up 70% or an average of 32 hrs/week of the Camp Fellow’s full time position from September - April. This creative, administrative position leads box packing and other outreach related projects including content creation and program facilitation. This position is also responsible for supporting outreach volunteer recruiting, orientations and training, and may assist with volunteer interviews. This is a remote-working position based out of the Denver metro area with periodic travel to the campsite in Gyspum.
An additional 20% of the Camp Fellowship position will focus on supporting the camp leadership team during summer onsite camp from May-August. The final 10% of the Camp Fellow’s time will focus on professional development and CaMpstone project related work.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Outreach Coordinator (.7 FTE):
- Ensure that all aspects of outreach programming, volunteer and project coordination reflect the mission, vision, and values of Roundup River Ranch.
- In collaboration with the Outreach Director, support the strategic growth of operations on the Front Range.
- Follow established compliance and best practices in all elements of the role.
- In collaboration with the Outeach Director, support the successful implementation of all aspects of Outreach Programming including mindmapping outcome-based program design, program execution and evaluation.
- As the primary contact and project leader for box building volunteer days, prepare detailed instructions and ensure access to all box packing resources and supplies.
- Cultivate professional working relationships with project volunteers.
- Maintain a clean and organized box packing area at all times.
- Lead Joy Delivered, Camp Online (camp and clubs) and Seacrest Studios program implementation.
- Ensure that waivers for outreach volunteers are complete and on-file.
- Lead the shipping of Outreach boxes.
- Audit and manage all Outreach supplies and resources using the Outreach supply inventory system.
- Coordinate the timely ordering of outreach supplies and resources to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Ensure proficiency with the BigBlueButton platform and train volunteers in BigBlueButton operation and functions.
- Facilitate Outreach programs and activities, both online and in person, as needed.
- Complete extensive administrative duties required to support the position within set deadlines.
- Assist with the recruiting, interviewing, training and stewardship of Outreach Volunteers.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of role.
Camp Leadership Team (.2 fte):
- Serve as a member of the onsite & residential summer camp team providing support to the leadership team as directed by the Camp Director (or their designee).
- Attend and participate in relevant seasonal training, meetings, and planning sessions.
Professional Development & CaMpstone Project (.1 FTE):
- Dedicate 10% of time to professional development goals to be determined upon hiring.
- Select a Capstone Project that directly supports a Roundup River Ranch Strategic Plan Initiative.
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Ability to quickly prioritize and work within deadlines.
- Well-developed, strong writing skills and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates the Guideposts in all aspects of work.
- Interest and ability to write creative, outcome-based activity content for online programs, written materials, and in person programs.
- Must be comfortable using computers, pre-recording content and video editing, utilizing databases, branding documents, and more.
- Ability to problem solve and think creatively, strong collaboration and team building skills required.
- Must have a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 year degree and/or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience working with children who have a serious illness and / or special needs is preferred.
- Previous teaching, camp counselor and/or other relevant programming experience for children ages 7-17 is required.
- Computer proficiency and practical experience in word processing, database and internet navigation.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
This is a full time, year round short term fellowship position. The Camp Fellow will be employed for 2 years from hire date. Upon completion of the 2 year assignment, the Camp Fellow will have the skills and experience to progress their career in the camp industry. If a position of interest were available at the time of the end of the 2 year fellowship assignment, the Camp Fellow will have the opportunity to apply for a full time year round position. Please note, a position on our full time year round team at the end of the fellowship is not guaranteed.
