Muenster Milling is expanding! We are hiring for a dedicated and experienced Refrigeration Technician at our Freeze-Dried facility in Denton, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting industrial refrigeration and production equipment in our pet food production facility. The position is also responsible for partnering with production management to proactively address issues or challenges and equipment needs to reduce potential down-time and schedule repairs accordingly. We are looking for an experienced industrial refrigeration technician with low-temperate experience and great troubleshooting skills.

This is a daytime role. This role will support our production team that is gearing up to support SWING SHIFT aka 2-2-3 shift with alternating weekends off. Flexibility with schedule is needed as we expand operations. Training Schedule will be 7:00am-4:00pm.
This is a full-time hourly position that will transition to will ultimately support day shift in all of our production rooms - Freeze-Dry, Packaging and Meat Room. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required per production schedule.
Pay Range: $42/hour + DOE
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively works with the team on all maintenance, troubleshooting, start-ups, inspections, installation and repair of machinery and equipment while ensuring alignment with continuous improvements efforts to ensure an effective and expedited workflow.
- Ensure effective prioritization of projects to maintain production including urgent repairs; preventive maintenance program; identifying and qualifying contractors; and ensuring necessary inventory, handling, and care of tools and equipment.
- Maintain proper functioning of refrigeration systems, compressed air, hot water, treated water, and other systems.
- Regular evaluates and assesses equipment performance, gauges, and instruments, to adjust mechanisms as needed; proactively identify potential failures; and improve effectiveness.
- Engages with, proactively communicates to, and supports managers of the company to ensure partnership to constantly maintain an environment of coordination and collaboration to achieve company goals.
- Timely and accurately maintains documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports.
- Conducts research and analysis of maintenance improvements to make suggestions for continuous improvement.
Experience and Education:
- A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in Industrial Refrigeration Maintenance
- Experience with troubleshooting low-temp, mid-temp and high-temp commercial refrigeration systems
- Vocational, Trade School or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field highly preferred

We have one room that is currently working swing shift but anticipate the other rooms to join before Q2 2026. You would be selected to support either Team A or Team B.
