Responsibilities
- Main support for human resources activities for all employees and managers within the client group assigned.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Respond to escalated HR or personnel issues and conduct confidential investigations.
- Be a coach for managers regarding employee relations issues including performance improvement, development plans and progressive discipline.
- Ensure organization follows regulatory requirements within the HR department.
- Keep informed about current trends, practices, and developments in the profession. Make recommendations for implementation.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and ensure best practices. Identify problems central to our strategy and forecast potential obstacles to success.
- Push for continuous improvements within the manufacturing/distribution sites as well as within the HR department.
- Perform additional responsibilities or assignments as directed by management.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Support workforce planning and talent management requirements for the assigned team/site.
Travel:
- This job requires 20-30% travel time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- Microsoft Office Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources, with demonstrated results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in talent management initiatives including learning and development strategies, employee engagement and wellbeing programs.
- Strong knowledge in Local Labor Legislation and positive employee relations practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Experience supporting manufacturing facilities is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
