We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Interiors Mechanic to join our team in Farnborough. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of aircraft cabin furnishings and components, ensuring all work meets aviation safety standards and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with a background in aircraft interiors who thrives in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
Your Responsibilities:- Use approved maintenance data such as SRM, AMM, IPC, applicable drawings, engineering orders, job cards etc.
- Repair and maintain aircraft cabin parts and components.
- Perform inspection work in the cabin and maintain its interior equipment.
- Replace carpets and inlays.
- Support technicians in removal and installation of cabin equipment and furnishings.
- Accurately complete all documentation, job cards and maintenance records.
- Collaborate with engineers, mechanics and other departments to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft to service.
- Maintain tools, equipment and workplace in a serviceable condition according to company standards.
- Promote a Just culture, adhere to company Health & safety policies and report all incidents and occurrences through the Company Safety Management system.
- Undertake general Aircraft Mechanic duties.
- Any other reasonable request from management in line with the Aircraft Interiors Mechanic role.
Essential:
- Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance or related field.
- Previous experience in aircraft interior or cabin maintenance (e.g. seats, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, carpets).
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices and standards (CAA/EASA Part 145 environment).
- Demonstrable ability to interpret and follow technical drawings, work instructions and manuals.
- Competence in the use if hand tools, power tools and specialist equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to undertake physical elements of the role i.e. working in confined space.
Desireable:
- Experience with multiple aircraft types.
- Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safey and EWIS training up to date.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety in an Aviation environment.
- Understanding of Just Culture.
