About the role.
We are seeking a skilled Trade Marketing Projects Manager (Interim) to join our team at McCain GmbH. This freelance/interims role is a unique opportunity to lead impactful Trade Marketing projects designed to drive shopper activation, trade communication, visibility, and household consumption across the DACH/CEE region. Typical projects may include National Pickers Lottery, National Potato Lottery, On-Pack Promotions, merchandising initiatives and innovative retail campaigns.
You will report to CM& TM Lead Retail DACH/CEE.

What you’ll be doing.
- Lead and Execute Trade Marketing Projects: Develop and implement national shopper activation and trade communication initiatives.
- Drive Visibility and Trial: Establish merchandising and visibility items, organize sales presentations, and manage promotional materials including sales folders, couponing, retailer media and B2B activities.
- Collaborate Effectively: Work closely across boundaries with Category Management, Field Sales Lead and Key Account teams in a collaborative international matrix environment.
- Reporting & Analysis: Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to analyze project results and prepare comprehensive presentations.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and impactful execution.
- Strategic Thinking: Apply brand marketing expertise, strategic vision, and an owner mindset to every challenge.
What you’ll need to be successful.
- Education: Diploma or Master’s degree in Economics or related field.
- Languages: Excellent German (required), very good English skills.
- Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of Trade Marketing, preferably within FMCG.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Power BI is preferred.
- Personal Attributes: Strong strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, enthusiasm and self-motivation, resilience, agility, and an authentic passion for the food industry.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work in an international matrix setting and build effective working relationships across all levels.
