Reporting to the CIO of Exterior and Lighting, the D&IS Business Partner for Exterior & Lighting Central Europe, runs the BG IS organization for the assigned country/cluster scope, in line with global BG & IS strategy and regional business needs. He/she partners with the business to identify, rationalize, and prioritize global & regional IS demands for its Region and ensures proper allocation of financial resources, by ensuring sound budget management and proposing investment decisions backed up by solid business cases.
Main activities include:
BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Is an advocate and the business unit's frontline representative to the IS organization in its Region. Represents the regional business's plans and priorities to the BG IS organization.
- Coaches business leaders locally, and enables them to articulate technology needs and requirements that will advance business performance
- Collects, centralizes, and prioritizes with the business all BG IS demands and investments in IS capabilities for its Region, together with BG CIO.
- Deploys IS strategy linked to business strategy for its Region.
- Works closely with IS service/project managers of the BG to build an approved portfolio for BG specific applications in the Region.
- Manages the Regional portfolio of services; and ensure visibility into the delivery of solutions.
- Leads the planning processes and produces regular reports covering progress-to-plan depicting the business value of applications and projects in its Region.
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
- Responsible for the management of IS projects of its Region.
- Responsible to lead and deliver projects within agreed project deadlines, costs & quality.
- Assesses capacity and resources needed for project delivery.
- Reports on project risks and issues and propose countermeasures.
- Provides coaching, guidance, and advice to the local project managers (best practices and methodology)
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
- Together with BG CIO, prepares IS regional function and project budgets including cost-justified proposals for investments, upgrades and new systems.
- Establishes and measures actionable KPIs regarding IS project management, performance, etc.
- Ensures that solutions deliver the expected value throughout the entire life cycle. Supports business leaders in implementing the organization and processes to guarantee solutions adoption and correct usage in the long run (key-users network, continuous improvement measures, users training, process and data quality monitoring…)
IMS MANAGEMENT
- Is accountable for the IMS process coordination for its region with the support of D&IS Group functions (process review, KPIs management, procedure periodic review and update, corrective and preventive actions implementation as needed and resources provision for process realization) taking into consideration relevant requirements and its evolution.
- Takes in charge internal & external audits related to his/her Region and shares best practices with other BGs/ Regions.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
- Ensures the right people are in the right jobs by attracting, retaining and developing high performing IS personnel.
- Develop team through challenging assignments, prompt and actionable feedback and appropriate training.
- Directs analysis of resource requirements to meet the business needs including make vs buy and inhouse vs outsourcing.
Required profile and experience:
- Master’s degree/Engineering degree, ideally in information systems.
- At least 10 years of IT/IS Leadership in industrial environments showing similarities with the automotive sector (fast pace, large series, 4.0)
- Experience of operating within global companies with matrix organizations (multi-regional and multi-divisions).
- Excellent project management skills and proven ability to manage complex IS projects.
- Strong business acumen
