Pricing Coordinator
The Pricing Coordinator supports pricing related activities of our branches by handling price requests, providing price and margin consulting, and Agility database management. Pricing Coordinators work diligently to enhance branches’ pricing decisions by providing compelling, easy to digest summary reporting and recommendations. The Pricing Coordinator’s focus is to serve the branches’ immediate needs and the region VP’s stated direction while fulfilling the strategic and systems-based responsibilities of the pricing team companywide. Our goal is to assist each branch with exploiting opportunities giving them an increased chance of maximizing their bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with the field and serve the field as your valued customer while supporting margin managers; be proactive, responsive, positive and accurate. Ensure that field leadership have the final authority of all current and future pricing for their branches while providing guidance and support
- Point of contact for daily requests related to current and future prices for branches, and must be accountable for efficient processing of those requests
- Analyze the Daily GM Alerts report and provide contextual guidance to drive change with the intent to reduce alerts
- Support weekly reporting and influence changes related to shingle price trends, overrides, low margin standard pricing, and low margin customer deviations
- Deliver pricing analytics for branches in need. Agree on actions with BMs/DMs and execute changes
- Utilize analytical solutions to uncover margin and sales improvement opportunities, recommend tactical or strategic actions while assisting branch leadership teams with making fully informed pricing decisions
- Standard price assessment
- Customer deviation assessment
- Expire unused deviations
- Invoice Verification (IV) accuracy
- Customer default price level assessment
- Cost change compared to price change analysis
- Monitor and promote the use of extra charges (delivery, restock, fuel, freight, etc.)
- Manage supplier cost changes into price changes
- Share pricing best practices across branches and regions to optimize revenue and margins
- Participate in pricing team presentations and training for field personnel as needed
