About the Role:

As Customer Business Development Manager, you will be at the heart of shaping Ferrero’s growth strategy in the U.S. You’ll lead the integration of newly acquired businesses, collaborate with top customer teams to drive long-term planning and retail alignment, and co-develop the future Sales organizational design alongside senior leadership. Your expertise will guide go-to-market strategies, broker partnerships, and KPI development, while also influencing pricing and promotional spend in partnership with RGM and Finance. You’ll be a key connector, streamlining communication across channels and customer teams, and educating the sales organization through category insights. Most importantly, you’ll help craft and deliver the compelling “reason to believe” story that stabilizes and grows Ferrero’s presence in the market.

 

This role is hybrid, and will be based out of the Ferrero North American HQ in Parsippany, NJ.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration of businesses acquired by Ferrero in the U.S, approximately $100m GSV
  • Collaborate with our top 5 customer teams to drive growth and stability through 12-month planning, retailer engagement through reason to believe story, risk mitigation, and line review alignment
  • Co-develop the future Sales organizational design with CCO / HR
  • Consult with Trade Marketing on the Go-to-Market strategy for all Channels (DSMP initiatives)
  • Consult with Sales and Retail Operations on developing route to market strategy leveraging Ferrero U.S. broker partnerships
  • Co-develop Sales KPI’s with Trade Marketing and deploy to sales organization / create process for tracking and holding sales teams accountable
  • Consult with RGM and Finance on the creation of and deployment of the pricing and promotion spending strategies
  • Develop and lead all Sales meetings with our channels and customer teams for streamlining communication relative to the integration and post go-live
  • Consult with Category Management on the development of the Sweet Packaged Foods categories to educate our sales organization
  • Co-lead development of the reason to believe story for trade/customers to stabilize and grow the business
  • Co-lead and develop integration/brand/channel/customer content

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proven leadership of mid to large CPG companies with experience in Sweet Packaged Foods experience
  • Experience in cross-functional, external sales roles – multi-channels / Trade marketing / Category Management complex program management including tracking, reporting, and risk management
  • Direct customer selling experience for CPG companies
  • Experience in planning and delivering integration, business transformation and change management programs
  • Experience in business planning and managing financial budgets
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural international environment
  • Experience dealing with stakeholders across functions locally and globally
  • Business mindset, entrepreneurial and hands-on approach
  • Strong analytical and business diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • 25% travel required

Compensation Data

The base salary range for this position is $118,000 - $150,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
