Tidewater Fleet Supply/TNT Parts, one of the largest independent distributors of fleet, truck, trailer, and heavy equipment parts in the Southeast is rapidly growing and need qualified candidates like you.
The On-site Parts Counter Sales position will assist the customer their parts need while focusing on customer service. This role will be based in the Tidewater Fleet Supply parts room housed in the customer's location.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service at the counter by listening to customers and meeting their needs.
- Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions into ERP system.
- Assist in entry of vendor receiving documents into ERP system.
- Service customers by identifying needed parts, using parts catalogs, computer system.
- Maintain a current knowledge base of all product offerings to identify and fulfill customer needs.
- Respond to in person and email inquiries from the technicians.
- Locate and obtain parts.
- Process buyouts for non-stocked parts.
- Keep counter and parts room neat and clean.
- Occasionally drive company vehicle to pick up parts.
- Provide 24-hour support at the location during emergencies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking are occasionally required.
- Keying data is repetitive motion and is frequently required.
- The position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
- Must have open availability. Some night and weekend work may be required.

Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in parts sales and/or counter operations is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced customer service environment.
