Summary of Position:

The Sanitation Worker I works as a member of the sanitation team to clean general plant area, equipment and helps in the removal of refuse.

Functions of the Position:

• Works as a member of the sanitation team to clean general plant area, equipment, and helps in the removal a refuse, using the following tools: broom, brushes, sprays bottles, mop and ringer, squeegee, water gun, air gun and vacuum. Works safely and is aware of surroundings at all times.
• Trains on and performs 7 steps of dry sanitation and/ or 7 steps of wet cleaning to perform routine cleaning on assigned equipment - including assembly and disassembly of assigned equipment.
• Completes required training courses, reads, and signs off on required SSOPS and paperwork, works with other sanitation staff to learn to perform sanitation across facility.
• Maintains work area and ensures area is clean before leaving for the day.
