Job Title: Video Network Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL

Reports To: Director of Network and IP Services
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Video Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Video Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining the network infrastructure supporting high-quality video content delivery, and streaming. This role requires a deep understanding of video encoding, transport protocols, and network engineering, along with expertise in ensuring seamless, high-performance video streaming experiences for end users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design & Implementation: Design and configure network architectures to support high-definition video streams across a variety of platforms. (live events, on-demand, OTT services, etc.).
- Video Transport Protocols: Ensure the network supports low-latency, high-quality video delivery.
- Video Over IP: Build and maintain systems that support video over IP
- Network Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the network for video performance, ensuring minimal packet loss, latency, and jitter.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced technical support for video network issues, conducting root cause analysis and resolution of video-related network problems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (content delivery, engineering, operations, etc.) to ensure smooth video deployment and streaming.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the video content and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate network design documentation and provide regular performance and issue reports to management and stakeholders.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform regular testing of video network systems and infrastructure to ensure they meet industry standards and internal quality requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in video networking and video platforms.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, NetFlow, SolarWinds) and video-specific monitoring platforms.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, routing, and switching.
- Proficiency with video encoding, decoding, and transcoding tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues in real-time, especially in mission-critical environments.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
