What You’ll Do

  • Conduct referral eligibility screenings, intakes, orientations, and required assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely participant records, including case notes, progress reports, and data entry.
  • Facilitate training classes and group sessions (e.g., Cognitive Self Change, employability skills, parent support, and community workshops).
  • Provide guidance, advocacy, and referrals to connect participants with community resources such as healthcare, housing, food, education, and employment opportunities.
  • Monitor participant progress throughout all phases of programming, from intake through successful employment.
  • Serve as a case manager/employment specialist for justice-involved adults in the Kent County Jail and/or Kent County Probation Office.
  • Obtain and maintain clearance to access the Kent County Juvenile Detention Center.

Work Schedule

Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to facilitate training classes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in human services, workforce development, or a related field, with preference for experience supporting justice-involved or socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals.
  • Strong knowledge of employment practices, community resources, and social service systems, with proven ability in caseload management, data collection, report writing, and assisting clients with employment barriers.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per Hope Network policy.
