Key Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

• All security officers will perform checkpoint screening functions 
• Must challenge all MDAD Badge holders
• Issue temporary parking permits
• Examine credentials and verify information of those entering through the checkpoint.
• Patrol the exterior and interior of the Hangar Building
• Patrol American Airlines aircraft under maintenance in technical operations areas.
• All security officers must pass the American Airlines MIA Aircraft Maintenance Checkpoint Screener Training.
• Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications

• Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a Security D License issued by the State of Florida
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• 1 year of Security Experience 
• Must pass a criminal background check as well as a drug screen before employment
• Must have schedule flexibility for the weekend, holidays, and night shifts
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• The ability to work and communicate with all levels of Operations and management.
• Should possess a work style and conduct that is approachable and hospitable, while motivated to achieve results.
