Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is a not-for-profit, Member-owned, and locally operated financial institution serving the financial needs of its communities of Membership. We have 25 locations throughout East Tennessee and we serve more than 288,000 Members. The Credit Union helps Members grow financially by offering a variety of accounts including: checking, savings and investments. Also offered are competitive loan rates on new and used autos and recreational vehicles, mortgages, personal loans and credit cards.

Pay: Starting range is $23.00 - $25.00, depending on work experience

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assume responsibility for the effective and professional performance of Member Service functions.

Assist Manager with scheduling staff, answering questions on products and services, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Assist staff and members in solving problems by listening, collecting data, securing answers, and reporting results to the inquiring party.

Keep staff and members informed of Credit Union services and products, including types of available accounts, interest and dividend rates, payroll deduction options, and other related services.

Maintain and project the Credit Union’s professional reputation. Maintain privacy of member account information.

Maintain a cross-selling environment within the Member Services Department.

Welcome all members with a pleasant verbal greeting and closing over the phone, being sure to call the member by name.

Provide members with efficient transaction processing.

Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and
working relationships with area personnel and with management.

Keep Manager informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns.

Establish and maintain goals, objectives, benchmarks, accountability standards and rewards.

Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly.

Attend meetings as required. Assist Manager with meetings as requested.

Work as a team with other team members to reach set goals. Hold each employee accountable for contributing to the goals of their department and the overall Credit Union goals.

Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff while maintaining effective employee relations.

Guide and manage the department, including scheduling adequate staff to ensure efficient department operations, conducting performance reviews, coaching employees, maintaining efficient employee relations, and providing additional training, as needed.

Demonstrate dependability and a commitment to quality and flexibility to ensure department needs and Credit Union goals are attained.

Implement and monitor the Member Services activity, including, but not limited to transactions, volume, errors, goals, and budgets.

Evaluate the job performance of the Member Services staff to ensure quality of work and service to the members.

Handle escalated inquiries and complaints, resolving issues efficiently.

May function as an MSR on an as-needed basis, filling in for peak schedules and during absences or shortages.

Research and solve staff and member questions and/or problems.

Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.

Ensure the staff receive on-going training on security procedures.

Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner (including but not limited to appearance, behavior, and performance).

Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Work cooperatively with others.

All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience – High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three (3) years of job-related experience.
