Technical Support Specialist

Schedule: M-F 8:00am – 5:00pm

Hourly Rate: $24+ (based on education and experience)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT - in office

Summary:

As an MTI Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting customers with technical issues or questions related to MTI equipment. You will expertly and professionally answer customer phone calls and respond to and follow up with customers through phone and messaging platforms.; You will diagnose customer product technical issues over the phone and resolve concerns and issues in a timely manner ensuring shipment and delivery of correct replacement parts.

Job responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve customer technical support cases through phone, messaging, and email.
• Utilize company platforms, guides, and manuals to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve the customer issue.
• Communicate quality issues to quality manager for root cause analysis.
• Create warranty orders in our ERP system.
• Maintain client information and data confidential.
• Document technical support processes and procedures.
• Demonstrates being Self-motivated and results driven.
• Has competence to identify and resolve product issues and improve equipment performance.
• Demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills on electrical/mechanical systems.
• Excellent organizational, teaming, and resource skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Experience troubleshooting and resolving electro-mechanical equipment issues.
• Previous technical support, customer support, or customer service experience.
• Field service experience with medical or office equipment preferred.
• Technical writing experience including documenting process, steps, and work practices.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Asking questions and additional questions to effectively gather information for problem identification and resolution.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates Degree preferred
• Technical certification preferred
