Job Title: Project Manager (18-Month Assignment)
Location: Remote (with potential for hybrid if near organizational offices)
Position Type: Full-Time, 18-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

Summary: 

  • We are seeking a skilled and mission-driven Project Manager to lead the development and launch of Project Thrive, an innovative AI-first mobile application. This is an 18-month assignment with potential to evolve into a broader leadership role within our growing digital strategy initiatives. The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of product development in collaboration with contracted vendors and internal stakeholders—ensuring timely delivery, alignment with strategic goals, and meaningful impact for our user communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Viability’s best interests with professionalism, integrity, and clarity.

  • Manage all aspects of the product development process from planning through successful launch.

  • Collaborate closely with contracted vendors: set timelines, track deliverables, and establish productive relationships.

  • Learn and integrate with vendor tools, systems, and workflows to ensure seamless communication and project progress.

  • Bridge communication between Viability leadership, internal teams, vendors, and stakeholder groups.

  • Provide regular project updates, reports, and risk assessments to the CEO to support timely decision-making.

  • Engage with internal project contributors and the Student Advisory Focus Group to incorporate user feedback and ensure inclusive product design.

  • Support Viability’s mission by upholding equity, dignity, and innovation in all aspects of the work.

Requirements:

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience managing software development teams and leading successful product launches.

  • Proven ability to deliver digital projects on time and within scope.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, UX, and cross-functional team dynamics.

  • Experience with or understanding of AI-powered technologies and platforms.

Core Skills:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills: prioritization, task tracking, and outcome delivery.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reporting and documentation.

  • Skilled in fostering productive, respectful relationships across diverse teams and vendors.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or other project management software.
