About Us
Nexus Children’s Hospital in The Woodlands is the only inpatient program in the U.S. dedicated to children, adolescents, and young adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Our Jump Start Program combines structured routines, nutritional guidance, physical training, and behavioral health support to help patients achieve long-term success.
The Role
The Director of Behavioral Therapy provides leadership for behavioral health services, overseeing clinical care, staff supervision, and program development. This leader ensures high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing Nexus’ mission of mending minds.
What You’ll Do
Deliver direct patient care and lead family therapy services.
Oversee behavioral therapy staff and unlicensed assistive personnel.
Guide program development, especially within the PWS program.
Lead crisis response, treatment planning, and incident management.
Ensure compliance, quality improvement, and regulatory standards.
Represent behavioral health services in leadership forums.
What We’re Looking For
Education: Master’s in Psychology (Doctorate preferred).
Experience: 5+ years clinical practice, including 2+ years in leadership.
Background in pediatric, adolescent, or neurodevelopmental care preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and program development skills.
Current state licensure required; BLS and de-escalation training upon hire.
