Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Behavioral Health Clinical Manager, the Remote Behavioral Health Therapist provides individual counseling sessions via telehealth using the approved Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform. This role supports quality behavioral health care through therapy, training, chart reviews, utilization reviews, and productivity monitoring, while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HRSA and Joint Commission standards.
This is a fully remote position that requires reliable high-speed internet and a confidential home office space suitable for therapeutic care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Provide individual therapy sessions using approved EHR telehealth software.
Conduct screenings, assessments, treatment planning, and progress monitoring.
Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with quality standards.
Ensure client confidentiality at all times.
Deliver care that meets HRSA and Joint Commission quality metrics.
Administrative & Supervisory Duties:
Complete utilization reviews, chart audits, and peer reviews on a scheduled basis.
Support onboarding and training of new clinical staff and interns.
Review productivity reports, identify performance gaps, and recommend improvement strategies.
Ensure client check-ins are completed as part of the billing process.
Submit written and verbal performance updates to the Behavioral Health Clinical Manager.
Assist in marketing behavioral health services to the community and human service providers.
Additional Expectations:
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Participate in special events, presentations, and occasional weekend/evening assignments.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and/or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer literacy and comfort with telehealth platforms.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
High-speed internet and private home office space required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
