As the Student Assistance Prevention Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Being responsible for all of the prevention and intervention activities at designated sites as well as operating the intervention part of the program as required or requested by the Program Director and contract responsibilities.
- Assisting school administration, students and staff in developing a comprehensive prevention curriculum, peer leadership and/or data collection as needed or requested by Program Director.
- Providing training to teachers and school personnel on specific prevention programs. Provide follow up services and materials to teachers working with prevention curriculum.
- Actively participate in various appropriate community organizations, and other district wide responsibilities that may present themselves as.
- Assist in helping students in the school to make desirable personal adjustments with self and others if provide EBP Early Intervention or Counseling services.
Student Assistance Prevention Specialist Minimum Salary: $23.00
Student Assistance Prevention Specialist Maximum Salary: $23.00
Student Assistance Prevention Specialist Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm
This is a 10-month reoccurring position
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, or Education fields
- 1-3 years of experience with youth, schools, families, and giving presentations
- Must have a Valid Driver's License and working reliable vehicle
- CPP or CPS OASAS credential (preferred)
