The GREAT STATE TEAM is seeking a Trainer Specialist to join our team. The Trainer Specialist is responsible for the training and development of New Hires. The Trainer Specialist is also responsible for helping improve the production of employees through creating and delivering training curriculum to hew hire trainees, development and implementation of training materials and design, ensuring transfer of training, and continuous training evaluation/ROI activities. This position will deliver training programs via a virtual classroom environment. The Trainer Specialist will partner with other internal departments, ensuring that customer needs for training are successfully fulfilled.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate and communicate progress of new hires
- Participate in weekly department meetings
- Consistently look for ways to improve current practices and procedures to save money, improve quality, and save time
- Adheres to all CAST IMS policies as implemented in company
- Assists with fielding Operations staff questions
- Supports departmental policies and procedures
- Prepares for and conducts training of the Extended Business Office Department new hires as needed.
- Assists with on- going training for all departments
- Communicates any challenges to the Managers or Supervisors on an ongoing basis
- Update training materials -- continuously keeps manuals and documentation up to date
- Responsible for keeping track of class attendance, scheduling, feedback forms, E.M.B.E.R.S. Program, for sharing results and comments of training classes with Managers, updating the training calendar and all training logs
- Maintains training checklists
- Develops new course materials and designs through our LMS
- Reviews documentation developed by outside departments for relevancy, continuity, clarity and provides feedback
- Adheres to all FDCPA, UDAAP, FCRA, State and HIPAA applicable laws
- Adheres to all SCSI policies, work standards and mission statement as stated in the handbook
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Preferred experience providing training and development services within collections, call center, healthcare, or other service industry environments essential.
- Preferred experience assessing, designing, developing, implementing/delivering, and evaluating training programs desired.
- Articulate written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to question, resolve conflict, handle objections, and respond to requests for information.
- Strong group and one-on-one presentation skills necessary. Previous experience working with external clients desirable. Personal Computing skills, including MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Outlook, Internet, Teams, Zoom, LMS and keyboarding required.
- E-learning methodologies experience helpful, and the implementation of these technology-based learning tools will be a goal of the candidate in this position within the first year in the role.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, strong organization skills with ability to multitask needed.
- Ability to travel, including overnight travel, required.
