The Compliance Co-op will have the opportunity to learn about the corporate compliance function including insurance claims regulatory reporting, and organization of the Company’s regulatory filing calendar. The Compliance Co-op will also learn about required corporate policies, conduct and ethics, outreach to various business units, and tracking of company filing deadlines. A role in the Compliance department is a good learning experience for anyone who expects to work in a corporate, finance, or compliance environment. The Compliance Co-op will be exposed to each Coverys Business Unit and gain a basic understanding of the responsibilities of the business unit.
The Compliance Co-op will be trained to support claims regulatory reporting, maintain and update the regulatory filing calendar via Microsoft SharePoint, conduct basic regulatory research, and participate in other compliance projects that arise.
Some of the learning objectives will include attention to detail, organization, and the many types of corporate policies a business needs to operate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Claims Regulatory Reporting Associates with reporting.
Partner with department representatives as necessary to identify required regulatory reports and deadlines.
Develop Compliance Department slides, presentations, and content for the internal department SharePoint site.
Support the Compliance function as new projects arise.
