The position of Production Support - Senior Software Engineer will be on a dynamic and growing team within the Global Risk & Compliance Technology (GRCT) organization at American Express.

As a Production Support Senior Software Engineer, you will be essential in providing application support services to ensure high levels of product availability for the customers and partners of GRCT and American Express. Key responsibilities may include:

  • Provide guidance, and coaching to applications engineering teams, supporting training and development of standard processes.
  • Oversee the incident management process, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing downtime, ensuring solutions meet business requirements, timelines, and quality standards, and align with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with partners effectively including senior management, to provide updates on technology operations and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead the management and maintenance of network infrastructure, monitoring network performance, solving connectivity issues, and supporting the implementation of network security standards.
  • Drive implementation of system upgrades, updates, and backups, and ensure the maintenance of hardware and software systems.
  • Lead and collaborate with multi-functional teams to complete technology projects and initiatives, contributing to the development of operational policies and procedures, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the team follows protocols, industry standards, and company policies for technology efforts, including maintaining secure processes.
  • Mentor junior members of the team, enabling a culture of continuous learning, growth opportunities, and inclusivity for all individual colleagues and teams.
  • Collaborate and co-create effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with broader business objectives.
