Metrics Reporting Analyst
Primary Accountabilities:
Collaborates with key stakeholders to define key financial and operational metrics to continuously monitor, track, and report performance.
Develop business trend analysis, monitor key operating metrics and communicate those results to management.
Maintains various models used to project business results.
Leverage automation and technology to ensure efficient and accurate metric reporting and data quality controls.
Conducts accurate and timely business analysis and reporting to support and drive business decisions using statistical modeling and other business analysis tools.
Translate needs of customers into reporting solutions, with minimal guidance from manager.
Provides operational and ad hoc information, as well as customized reports for specific audiences.
Assist in the development of an annual operating budget, quarterly forecasts and ongoing expense management for assigned business areas.
Accountable for performing in-depth analysis of complex operating or expense information.
Work closely with management to identify, prioritize and execute plans to improve the efficiency of metrics and reporting.
Responsible for developing and running weekly, monthly and annual reports.
Qualifications
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management Information Systems or equivalent related work experience required.
4 - 6 years’ experience with budgeting, financial analysis and performance measurement reporting required and/or advanced degree (MBA).
Ability to work with management teams to translate high-level business plans into action steps and reporting solutions.
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to prioritize work under the pressure of deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work/communicate with all levels of management.
Expert in Excel and PowerPoint.
Qlik/Tableau user skills preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
Solid knowledge of the insurance industry and insurance-related financial concepts.
Experience communicating metrics to peers and leadership.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Ability to identify and present information in the most effective format for the audience.
Collaborates with business partners to incorporate necessary data and analysis outside the scope of the division, as necessary.
The pay range for the role is $64,000 to $110,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
