The Receptionist is the initial contact for vendors, customers, and other visitors. This person must be friendly, professional, and helpful. The Receptionist utilizes a multi-line telephone system for routing calls to others in the organization. This position is also responsible for a variety of general office responsibilities including, but not limited to data entry, electronic and manual filing, and mail distribution.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain excellent relations through communications with vendors, customers, and other visitors.
- Ability to work effectively and productively with others.
- Ability to answer multi-line telephone and direct phone calls to appropriate personnel.
- Invoice processing including voucher and distribution.
- Track, maintain, and order office supplies.
- Responsible for making sure the copy machine, fax machine and mailing machines operate efficiently.
- Enforces all aspects of workplace organization with goal of providing safe and suitable work environment for WPPE employees.
- Performs other job tasks as requested.
- Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all companywide policies.

- Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously.
- Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once and to work positively and effectively within a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy a must.

Qualifications Guidelines
Experience/Training/Education:
Required: High School Diploma and 1+ years professional experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced setting. Must be familiar with standard office equipment including multi-line phone system, personal computers, copy machines, fax machines, and mailing machines.
Physical and Environmental Elements:
This is primarily a sedentary office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries reports and records that typically weigh less than 30 pounds. This is a full-time position that requires regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
