We are seeking a Shutdown Scope Coordinator to join our INPEX Operations team in Perth on a 15-month employee contract.
Reporting to the Facility Shutdown Superintendent, this role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of shutdown work scope—from planning and preparation through execution to close-out.
The Shutdown Scope Coordinator ensures consistent scope control, including freeze, additions, deferrals, and emergent work. Working closely with shutdown teams and business units, the role supports early preparation and integrated planning to deliver efficient and disciplined shutdown execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate shutdown scope planning, execution, and close-out.
- Act as the facility focal point for emergent scopes during shutdowns, ensuring adherence to business-as-usual processes and risk mitigation.
- Oversee development and reporting of planning and scope documentation.
- Support compliance audits and competency reviews for staff and contractors.
- Lead or participate in risk reviews and analysis for work execution.
- Promote and demonstrate visible leadership aligned with INPEX’s HSE culture.
- Apply commercial insight to support maintenance and execution strategies.
- Utilize Microsoft Suite, SAP, and operations systems for monitoring and reporting.
About You:
- Qualification in Project Management or a relevant trade (Instrument, Electrical, Mechanical).
- Strong background in operations and maintenance on large oil and gas facilities.
- Proven ability to coordinate complex shutdowns and manage diverse teams.
- Familiarity with Australian regulations and operational standards.
- Skilled in planning and scope management across varied work types.
- Proficient in digital tools including SAP and Microsoft Suite.
This role is for applicants residing in or willing to relocate to Perth.
