About the opportunity

A fantastic opportunity for experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join Ward D3 –a fast paced acute medical/surgical ward. Ward D3 comprises of a variety of medical and surgical specialties, including orthopaedics and geriatrics. We are looking for passionate nurses with general medical/surgical experience to join our collaborative, driven and supportive multidisciplinary team.

  • Demonstrate a passion for acute general medical and surgical nursing on a busy fast paced ward.

  • Be an active role model, and practice within our core values of Mercy Health, while upholding a high level of professionalism.

  • Form an integral part of our multidisciplinary team and ensure patient flow is managed whilst providing a high standard of patient care

What you’ll bring
You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant acute medical or surgical experience is essential.

  • Experience in orthopedics is desirable.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
