As part of the Dublin Trading team, you will be responsible for performing trading duties in adherence to the firm’s order execution policy and procedures during the European, US and Asia trading sessions.

Working hours - Shift Rotation:

European Shift: 07:30 AM - 05:00 PM

US Shift: 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM

Asia Shift: 09:30 PM - 06:30 AM

What will you do:

The Junior Trader is a vital part of the trading team, providing critical support on various market-related tasks. This role is a great fit for a highly motivated professional with a solid foundation in market dynamics who is eager to build their career. The trader will work closely with senior traders, often assisting them in the real-time execution and monitoring of market positions. The successful candidate will handle a wide range of responsibilities with a flexible and adaptable approach to their work. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a sharp eye for detail and a strong commitment to learning and growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Position Monitoring & Risk Management: Conduct daily monitoring, review, and analysis of trading alerts to ensure timely resolution of incidents or risk events. Implement pre-trade and post-trade execution risk controls.

• Market Analysis & Execution: Execute trades based on market analysis and senior team instructions. Handle large or complex trades that cannot be automated due to complexity or liquidity constraints.

• Research & Strategy: Proactively share timely updates on market developments and news. Collaborate with senior traders and quantitative researchers to structure and evaluate new trading opportunities. Conduct research to identify and capitalize on liquidity patterns across different market conditions. Generate PnL tracking and attribution reports based on trade ideas.

• Trading Systems & Tools: Contribute to the development and enhancement of proprietary execution algorithms for various market conditions. Build and enhance trading tools, models, and analytics in programming languages like Python to support decision-making and execution.

• General Duties: Collaborate closely with other team members, providing data and insights for various projects and initiatives. Perform post trade surveillance tasks.

What you need to have:

• Educated to degree level in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field with an excellent academic background; professional qualifications an advantage.

• A strong desire for continuous growth, learning, and a genuine passion for trading and financial markets.

• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-changing and dynamic market environment.

• A practical, can-do approach to problem-solving, a "right first time" attitude, and excellent attention to detail.

• Proficiency in a programming or scripting language, with a strong preference for Python for research and data analysis.

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Fluency in English.

• A willingness to commit to a shift-based work schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage.
