Who we want:
The Director of Systems and Technology will oversee our organization’s technical infrastructure, systems administration, and lead technology initiatives. This role works closely with the Vice President of Systems and Operations to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with organizational goals, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and security across all platforms. In this role, you will need to have a strong background in system administration, technical support, and project management with excellent problem-solving skills.

What you’ll do:
- Serve as system administrator for all United Way technologies including Salesforce, Microsoft S365, Goodworld, Apply, Confluence, Smartsheet, and other platforms. Collaborate with the VP of Systems and Operations to ensure systems support organizational priorities and operational excellence.
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures and conduct regular audits to protect sensitive information and maintain high standards of performance.
- Direct cross-departmental technology projects from planning through implementation while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness and impact.
- Oversee the organization’s network infrastructure and security systems. Serve as the designated Security Officer, ensuring robust protection and continuity of operations.
- Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Ensuring reliable data backup systems and recovery capabilities.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Lead user training initiatives for new systems and tools. Champion change management to ensure smooth adoption of technology solutions.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Manage and mentor the Systems team. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in IT administration or a similar role.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with previous supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, security protocols, and system administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms and SaaS applications (Salesforce, Microsoft 365, etc.).
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of performance and security.
