The Role

We are seeking a strategic and operationally-minded Director – OPEX Controller to lead all aspects of OPEX management and governance across the Enterprise business organization. This role will be responsible for building a scalable, standardized support model that drives efficiency, transparency, and alignment with business priorities.
The ideal candidate will be a strong business partner, capable of engaging with senior executives, managing global teams, and reimagining how Finance supports the business through data-driven insights, process innovation, and a strategic lens that connects financial operations to long-term enterprise goals. Experience in sales, product marketing, operations, and telecom is a significant plus.

The Main Responsibilities

OPEX Governance & Management

  • Own end-to-end OPEX oversight across the Enterprise business.
  • Develop and enforce governance policies to ensure consistency and accountability.
  • Track and report on cost savings, investment efficiency, and growth initiatives.
  • Manage a $3B+ OPEX P&L with rigor and strategic foresight.

Process Optimization & Standardization

  • Build and implement SOPs to drive consistency and operational excellence.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies across business units.
  • Maintain standardized workflows and reporting structures.
  • Leverage automation and digital tools to streamline operations and elevate performance.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead a geographically distributed team across the US and Poland. (15+)
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Raise the bar on support and performance through clear expectations and accountability.

Executive Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
  • Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders to align financial support with business priorities.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to support decision-making and resource allocation.

Systems & Tools

  • Utilize advanced Excel, ERP, and planning tools to manage data and drive reporting accuracy.
  • Experience with Power BI, SAP, Essbase, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is a significant plus.
  • Partner with IT and Finance Systems teams to enhance tool capabilities and usability.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance, preferably with a focus on OPEX or FP&A.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into strategic insights.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, especially with senior executives.
  • Experience managing global teams and navigating matrixed organizations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Power BI, financial modeling, and enterprise planning systems.
  • Power BI, SAP, Essbase, and SAC experience strongly preferred.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
