About the Department

Any full-time Law Enforcement Deputy Sheriff interested in participating in tryouts for a position as a Diver on the Marine Operations/Underwater Recovery Team (MO/URT) must submit their internal application online, no later than Friday, May 2, 2025.  Candidates must include all related scuba diving experience in their application and will be required to provide photocopies of both sides of all dive and boating certifications to the Human Resources Bureau.  
The MO/URT eligibility requirements are as follows:

• Open Water SCUBA Diver Certification (preferred but not mandatory)
• Boating experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Not on disciplinary probation

The remainder of the selection process is outlined in ACSO DIR 751. The water skills mentioned in DIR 751, VIII will be disseminated to candidates, along with other information, prior to the tryouts and interviews, which will be conducted on Friday, May 9, 2025.
