JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs final assembly of complete sign units or subassemblies at a bench or other work locations. Utilizes hand tools, power tools and other special equipment to perform assigned job. The team will receive written or verbal instructions, will then locate, and assemble all required parts to complete sign packages. Responsible for final quality assurance check on all products before the product is shipped or installed.
JOB SKILLS
- Use of hand tools
- Use of common power tools, both electric and air
- Able to accurately measure and cut metal, plastic, wire, fabric, etc.
- Able to assemble parts to form complete units or subassemblies
- Able to safely install fluorescent lamps in sockets
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and read shop drawings
- Basic electrical wiring knowledge and skills are helpful
- Able to attach U.L labels and Thomas logo labels to products
- Able to lift, up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to work well with others in a team environment
- Able to keep work area organized, neat and clean
