Full-Time Behavior Technician – Mt. Pleasant, MI

About the Role

As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children in their home setting, implementing life-changing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You’ll help children learn essential life skills, reach developmental milestones, and celebrate every success along the way.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person behavior intervention services in the child’s home

• Collect and record accurate data on behaviors and skill progress

• Collaborate closely with BCBAs to help build and carry out effective treatment plans

• Attend team meetings to share insights, collaborate, and continuously improve care

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required (ideal for those pursuing a career in child care or special education)

• Experience working with children, especially those with special needs, is highly preferred

• Reliable transportation to and from client homes

• Proof of completion of a 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training course

• Must obtain RBT certification within 90 days of hire (we’ll help you study and prepare)

• Must pass a background check

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Comfortable assuming and maintaining various postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods

• Ability to sit or stand on the floor for long periods during sessions
