Senior Right of Way Acquisition Agent, Transportation

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Right of Way group as a Senior Acquisition Agent. In this role, you will lead and perform acquisition services for both public and private clients, including appraisal reviews, negotiations, and closings. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of right-of-way processes, the ability to mentor junior agents, and proven expertise managing complex projects and client relationships.

What You’ll Do:  

• Lead and perform right-of-way acquisitions in compliance with project guidelines, client policies, and applicable regulations.
• Conduct and review property valuations using ODOT (or equivalent) forms.
• Prepare, review, and oversee legal documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to project teams and junior agents.
• Negotiate effectively with private landowners and governmental agencies for acquisition of various land rights.

 
What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated right-of-way acquisition experience, with a strong record of successful negotiations and project delivery.
• Excellent organization, communication, and client relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Properties Acquisition Policies Act of 1970.
• Must possess a Valid Ohio Driver’s License
• Must be a current Ohio Notary or be able to obtain within 6 months
