MCR Safety, a Bunzl company, is hiring for a Senior Program & Project Manager, based at our HQ in Collierville, TN. The Senior Program & Project Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence within the Project Management Office (PMO) as well as throughout the business by providing strategic leadership and oversight for the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure that programs and projects are aligned with corporate strategic initiatives, organizational goals, delivered effectively, and contribute to overall business success.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Alignment:

  • Collaborate with the CSO and senior leadership to translate strategic initiatives into actionable projects and ensure PMO activities directly support business objectives. 
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress and strategic value delivery. 
  • Assist with the integration of any strategic projects, mergers, acquisitions, and execution of any divestitures.

Portfolio & Program Management:

  • Lead the implementation of large-scale corporate initiatives and operational improvements within the PMO Project Portfolio, ensuring alignment with Corporate and Local strategic objectives.
  • Monitor project dependencies across different teams and initiatives to mitigate risks and optimize resource allocation. 
  • Ensure effective project management practices. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Stakeholder Engagement Management:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align strategic initiatives with business needs
  • Communicate project status updates and key decisions effectively to senior executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. 
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns. 
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and collaboration to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Ensure that all employees understand the strategic plan and their role in achieving corporate goals.

Governance Framework Development:

  • Establish and maintain robust project management methodologies, standards, and governance processes, ensuring accountability and efficiency. 
  • Develop comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, risk assessments, and communication plans. 
  • Ensure all project approvals and project billing follow all appropriate controls and delegation of authority.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze project data to identify trends and areas for improvement. 
  • Generate regular reports on project performance, including key metrics and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Communicate project and program status to corporate and senior leadership on defined periodic intervals.

Team Leadership and Coaching:

  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, providing guidance on best practices and project execution. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple strategic projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with the executive team and staff at all levels to execute strategic plans.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to budget for strategic initiatives and evaluate their long-term return on investment, especially in cash-sensitive environments.
  • Quality Control: Hands-on approach to overseeing the implementation and quality control of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with defined metrics and objectives

  • Office setting 85% / Warehouse 15%.
  • On-call availability.
