Responsibilities

Summary: 

This position is responsible for packing quality product into boxes for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

• Checks finished product for quality issues, as it comes off the conveyor.
• Packs plastic containers and lids of various sizes into sleeves & boxes.
• Grinds scrap material out of sleeves.
• Ability to use tape gun.
• Sends boxed product to the “tape machine” if needed.
• Performs housekeeping tasks in work area.
• Builds and labels boxes as needed.
• Grinds poor quality product.
• Re-packs product as needed.
• Cleans inside and outside of machinery.
• Ability to perform a silo change.
• Ability to perform a cold start on Thermoforming line.
• Performs basic troubleshooting on Thermoformer.
• All other tasks outlined in skills matrix for appropriate level.
• Other duties as assigned.

120 miles southeast of Columbus, OH and approximately 150 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, PA, Mineral wells, also known as Mineral Wells, is a census-designated place in Wood County, West Virginia. It is part of the Parkersburg-Marietta-Vienna, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,950 at the 2010 census.

The plant became a Pactiv facility in 2010 through acquisition and was formerly a PWP facility that started in Mineral Wells in 2003. The facility is part of the Food Merchandising Business Unit and manufactures clear and black APET product that supplies food packaging to Pactiv's retail customers. The employee population is approximately 200.
