Key Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Civil Construction Superintendent on a PSC contract basis for a Teesside based project on a circa 12-month assignment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Specification:
  •  Trade qualified or BTEC (Higher) or equivalent.   IOSH Managing Safely.
  •  Provide total task ownership in relation to field construction activities.
  •  Requires a base trade subject level expertise, good all-round knowledge of all general construction groups.
  •  Promote SHE excellence including Life Saving Rules. 
  • Coordinate/screen site technical queries. 
  • Good understanding of industry specific legislation. 
  • Solid working knowledge of CDM 2015. Support Construction Contractor pre-mobilisation pre-requisites including RAMS peer review, competency assurance and permit to work coordination.
  •  Conduct active and measurable HSSE and Quality surveillance activities.
  •  Provide regular progress updates including input to the construction schedule. 
  • Support quality assurance and completions activities, keep accurate construction activity logs.
  • Provide input to estimate and schedule development.
  •  Provide input as required to construction reviews, meetings, and workshops. 
  • Support tender bid evaluation and lessons learnt processes.
