Senior Indirect Underwriter| Location: 11149 Research Blvd, Austin, Tx 78759|Department: Loan Department| Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:30am-6:30pm and rotating Saturday's 10:00am-6:00pm

Austin Telco is seeking a strategic and experienced Indirect Underwriting Manager to lead our indirect lending underwriting team. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring sound credit decisions, and driving team performance through effective leadership and process optimization.

What you'll do:

• Oversee daily operations of the indirect underwriting team to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
• Evaluate credit risk by analyzing credit reports, financial documents, application data, and market trends.
• Make informed loan decisions within designated authority; escalate complex cases as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and internal policies.
• Hire, train, and mentor underwriters; conduct performance reviews and foster a culture of growth and accountability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with dealerships and third-party vendors.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to improve underwriting processes and operational efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and audit findings; prepare and present performance reports.
• Identify and address potential fraud or misrepresentation in loan applications.

What you bring:

• 1-3years of underwriting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of indirect lending practices and credit risk analysis.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and compliance standards.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working with dealership networks and third-party vendors.
