The Manager of I.T. is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions. This includes managing the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all systems, hardware, software, applications and services across all departments in the organization.

- IT Strategy and Vision: Develop and implement the company's IT strategy and roadmap in alignment with overall business objectives and growth plans. Ensure the IT strategy supports the strategic goals of the organization.
- Departmental Analysis and Improvement: Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and enhance productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions. Recommend new technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of IT projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources. Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and within-budget completion of IT initiatives.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related communications. Regularly update senior management and stakeholders on the progress of IT projects and initiatives.
- Team Collaboration and Facilitation: Facilitate cross-functional teams and meetings, including Engineering, Operations, and Customer Support, to execute IT plans. Provide guidance and support to team members throughout project lifecycles.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of IT initiatives. Monitor and report on IT performance to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Technology Integration: Oversee the integration of new technologies and platforms to enhance operational functionality and user experience. Coordinate with development teams to address any technical challenges that may arise.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in IT operations and create mitigation strategies to address them. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies during IT projects.
- Data Security and Privacy: Ensure the security and privacy of all company data. Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups to safeguard information.
- Team Leadership: Lead and oversee the team to develop a motivated, skilled, and cohesive team.
- 1:1 Meetings & Annual Reviews: Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and annual performance reviews with direct reports, providing constructive feedback and setting goals for continuous professional development and growth of team members.

Work Environment
Fast-paced, dynamic office environment and may be required to work outside of regular office hours to resolve issues or complete projects of the department.

This is a hybrid role requiring regular on-site presence. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to one of our office locations in Houston, TX; Akron, OH; or Rochester, MN, and should expect to work on-site more than 50% of the time.
- 3-5 years experience in IT Management
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field experience required
- Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
- Expert at Google Workspace & Azure Environments
- Understanding of Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP (LAMP stack)
- Understanding of web hosting environments (cloud and dedicated), migration techniques, DNS management and troubleshooting
- Experience with cybersecurity strategies such as SSL and server lockdown
- Experience with cloud-based hosting providers such as AWS, Azure
- Administer network and data security including active directory, firewalls, group policies, antivirus, exchange
- Ability to fully configure, deploy and maintain new servers
- Experience with both Plesk and cPanel
- Familiarity with both VMWARE environments and Cloud computing
- Infrastructure assessment to identify potential risks, challenges and prepare appropriate mitigation plans
- Strong communication, organization, time management and documentation skills
- Ability to multitask, rapidly adapt, design proactive strategies and respond to changes in environment and priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time and project management skills
- Robust problem-solving skills
Physical Demands
- Primarily involves sitting at a desk and using a computer for extended periods of time.
- Light physical activity is also required, such as carrying equipment or setting up for presentations.
- Requires a high level of mental focus and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and the ability to use a computer for extended periods are required.

Limited travel of 10% may be required to our headquarters or to client offices.
