The Finance Manager is a key member of the Corporate Finance team, responsible for managing daily activities related to treasury and corporate finance. This role is crucial for ensuring the organization meets its financial obligations, maintains a strong liquidity position, and supports global financial strategy in close collaboration with our headquarters. This position reports directly to the Head of Corporate Finance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Lead the cash flow forecasting process by developing and implementing robust models for short-, medium-, and long-term projections. Oversee daily cash positioning and reporting to ensure optimal liquidity for all operations and investments. This includes managing bank accounts and optimizing payment and collection cycles
- Capital & Debt Management: Formulate and execute capital planning and debt utilization strategies to optimize the company's capital structure. Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage excess cash and investment resources
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and assess treasury-related risks, including foreign exchange (FX), interest rates, and liquidity risks. Develop and execute hedging or other risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's financial health
- Banking Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial banks and other financial institutions to ensure long-term access to capital markets
- Financial & Investment Analysis: Analyze the financial structure of the company and its affiliates and review capital expenditure (CAPEX) investment plans to ensure optimal financial structuring. Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize the corporate cost of capital
- Headquarters Communication & Alignment: Serve as the primary point of contact for financial reporting and strategy alignment with HQ Korea. Regularly provide reports and updates on financial planning, funding, and investment structures. Apply HQ’s guidance to local operations, while also proposing adjustments that reflect specific local market conditions when necessary
- Strategic Support: Prepare comprehensive reports and proposals to support critical financial decisions for senior management. Provide support to the Head of Corporate Finance on special treasury and corporate finance projects, as well as strategic analyses
- Perform other corporate finance-related duties as assigned
Required Competencies:
- Strong expertise in cash management and cash flow analysis
- Deep understanding of financial markets and treasury-related instruments, including the ability to assess the pros and cons of various financial instruments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with HQ and key stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to diverse audiences
- Excellent networking and negotiation skills with financial institutions to secure favorable terms and build lasting partnerships
- Excellent project and multi-task management skills with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Math or a related field
- 6-8 years of working experience in a corporate finance capacity or in an accountancy capacity within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
- Minimum 5+ years of professional analytical skills identifying and evaluating risks required
- Has proven and successful experience in strategy consulting and advisory, leading a business to enhanced financial performance
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Proficient in the use of SAP or similar financial software
- Korean-English bilingual strongly preferred
Travel:
Local: Less than 10%
The anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in Los Angeles is $100K to $130K. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be subject to several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of the candidate's experience within the job; type and length of experience within the specific industry; educational background; and the location of employment. This salary range may not reflect the pay scale for employees who work in other states.
