About the job

The Network Analyst/Technician is responsible for supporting, planning managing and delivering PC and other hardware solutions. These projects include the delivery of technically sound personal computer applications and hardware infrastructures that are developed, installed and maintained in a manner that supports business objectives. This position coordinates/communicates implementation activities with the user community, other IT business areas and/or outside service providers. Less than 10% travel is required. This position has no personnel management responsibilities and reports to the Manager Technical Services. The normal shift is 40 hours per week in the office with periodic extended hours as needed. This position may be assigned other duties as determined by the Supervisor.

Essential Functions

  • Participates in the development, testing and implementation of all personal computer system components required for the client-server, web-based, mid-range and/or enterprise server environments
  • Communicates and coordinates systems activities with user departments, other IT users, outside service providers and/or customers to ensure personal computer compatibility and cross-department information needs are met
  • Ensures all personal computer infrastructures conform to corporate standards
  • Maintains personal computer hardware and software expertise in areas of responsibility. Keeps current on new personal computer technologies and staff productivity tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor�s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or 4 to 6 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Contact Management Systems; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software
  • General awareness knowledge of the ISO9001 Quality Management System requirements, company Quality Policy and your contributions to the effectiveness of the QMS
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of and acting in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including, among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification of MCSE, MCSA, A+, MCP preferred
