Job Summary:

Lucchese Boots are the highest quality cowboy boots in the industry. ACS Operator is responsible for the biggening stages of the high- quality boot. This operation includes different processes to include clip threads, stitch marks, skive upper parts, cement quarter lining, and repairs. In addition, this position will be aligned with Lucchese values, consistent policy administration and a safe work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

All responsibilities mentioned below can be modified, but not limited to, based on the company’s needs.

• Receives, reviews, and interprets work orders.
• Match ticket and fabric size.
• Brings workload from Quality Control department.
• Skive Upper Parts; reduce the edges of the inside of the boot.
• Stitch Mark; mark leather with stencil, make sure measurements are aligned.
• Revise leather for defects
• Repairs the return parts for additional work such as cutting, marking, sewing, etc.
• Cement Quarter Lining; puts in glue in to the machine, pass leather and lining through the machine, basic cleaning on the machine.
• Always keep working area clean.
• Other duties as assigned, per business needs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Training: Open to learn and perform cross training in different areas.
• Communicating: Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing and maintain confidentiality.
• Leadership: Ability to lead by example and obtain support from co-workers and work independently and as part of a team.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects. Basic computer skills. Working knowledge and experience performing quality system and process audits. Ability to work in a fast-paced/stressed environment while maintaining safety. Ability to perform all job functions in adherence to Lucchese philosophy and values, policies as well as the Environmental, Health and Safety standards and responsibility for housekeeping in the assigned area.
