Role:

The Director of Enterprise Business Systems is focused on leading the alignment of various business applications with the credit union's business strategy. This role ensures that technology solutions align with business needs, drive innovation, and support data-driven decision-making. The Director is responsible for the deployment, lifecycle, continuous improvement and integration of key applications including core banking, digital banking, and business intelligence systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Contributes to overall IT Leadership team, department and organizational processes.
  • Works closely with IT Operations on infrastructure and security dependencies related to application deployments.
  • Completes special projects and other duties assigned.
  • Own the lifecycle of core banking, digital banking and data analytics platforms, including vendor relationships, implementations, upgrades and configurations.
  • Manages a team in supporting business units with application-specific needs, training, release communication, reporting and data access.
  • ICollaborate with business units (e.g., Lending, Retail, Marketing, Risk) to identify opportunities for process improvement through technology. Works to ensure applications are efficient, integrated, and aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Manages vendor relationships to ensure business applications meet performance expectations and contractual obligations. This includes managing vendor risk and service level agreements

Experience:

  • Five to ten years of similar or related experience.
  • (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills:

  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead a cross functional project team, including the ability to understand the perspective of business units.
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts including data cleansing and modeling techniques. Ability to write, optimize and review SQL and Python code.
  • Experience working in and managing a software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Possesses strong analytical skills, demonstrates the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working in data analytics, data warehousing or business focused analytical reporting.
  • Self-driven, able to manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Desired Skills include:

  • Experience in the financial services industry with a preference in Credit Unions.
  • Understanding of Credit Union core processing and connected systems. Expertise working with Corelation Keystone, Alkami and Snowflake is strongly desired.
  • Acts as an advocate for data driven decisions, seeking opportunities to provide value to business leaders.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Domo, Power BI, or Tableau

Work Environment:

  • On a weekly basis all WFH employees are required to be in office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Based on the demands of specific tasks or department requirements, WFH employees may need to be available for in office work at their manager's discretion. Working from the office may be necessary for certain collaborative tasks.
